I put this together pretty quick and was expanding on my landscapes. In this image, a warrior finds himself having plummeted to a dark cave lake only to find himself surrounded by shadows in the dark. They slowly close in.

I put this together pretty quick and was trying a new approach to landscape drawing. (Please excuse the poor color quality of this upload.)

So this month's competition is Fire & Ice. I thought I'd record some of my progress and show a few stages.

A fun little sketch...

So I loved working on this illustration. This drawing was done for a special client's Birthday and I hope he likes it. I tried to go with a classic composition.

I had great fun with creating the narrative for this month's competition theme of "the Collector". This is an American WWI soldier who has gained the reputation as The Bludgeon. He collects the tags, pictures, and bayonets of the german enemies that have fallen under his club. His dark shadow haunts the german infantry man's dreams and his only friends are the rats that feed on the fallen corpses.

A fun little character design that I put together. I was trying to focus on some nicely styled armor and then decided to add this little sidekick.

So I got around to putting some finishing touches on this and was pretty pleased with the finished drawing.

A heartless samurai that has climbed a mountain to view the battle field below but comes upon the most beautiful plant he's ever seen. The plant takes on the form of a woman and reaches out to him. Does he fall in love with this beauty or does he hack it to pieces?

Some guns that I'd sketched on some old school papers. I like some of the shapes that I'd gotten.

So some of the latest work from Mike Odum and me. Mike doing the great story and line work and my coloring to finish it off.

Pic 1) Some quick helmet ideas thrown out in about 40min. I'm pretty happy with how some of these look so I may try and incorporate them into my sci-fi work that I've done. Pic 2) Expanding from the helmets into the full suits of armor. I spent around an hour and a half on these.

I spent right at 5 hours on this, trying to crank out some animal warriors for some fun. I really like how the turtle, elk, and rhino turned out so I may do some expanding on those characters.
